Fees, credits and limits

What's free, what costs money, how levels lower fees and raise limits, and the limits on projects, strategies and wallets.

What's free#

  • Signing up, paper trading, backtests, optimizations and paper runs.
  • Shared market data, and indexing pools through ftw.trade's hosted RPC up to your level's daily quota.
  • Flowscript and TypeScript sources and scripts in ftw.trade's sandbox.
  • Connecting your own AI over MCP, the CLI and the skills.
  • The assistant, up to a daily allowance.

Trading fees#

  • Live sells pay a small platform fee, taken in the chain's coin (never in the token), with the exact rate chosen before the trade is signed and shown on the fill.
  • The rate falls as your volume grows and as your level rises.
  • Launch-curve sells (a token still on its curve, or just graduated) start from a higher rate that decays to the normal one over the days after graduation.
  • Liquidity deposits are never charged, and a liquidity strategy's rebalances pay the normal rate.
  • Paper is free.

Venues, protocols, bridges and the chain charge their own fees and gas, as they would anywhere.

Credits#

Credits are one prepaid dollar balance for usage past the free tiers:

Pays forPrice
Hosted RPC past your daily quotaPer million requests
A machine sourceFrom $5 a month, charged daily
Assistant messages past the free allowanceWhat the model cost, plus a small markup

Add credits by paying in ETH on Robinhood Chain from Account → Credits. Without credits, hosted chains wait for the next UTC day once the quota is spent, or you can read a chain through your own RPC.

Levels#

Points come from trading (the fees your fills pay) and from first steps (a first project, backtest, running strategy and live trade). Points add up to a level, and each level lowers your fees and raises your limits:

Paper and live trading also follow each venue's own minimums: Hyperliquid refuses an order under $10, and a deposit there is at least 5 USDC.
