# Glossary

> The words used across ftw.trade, in one place.

| Word | Means |

| **Account wallet** | A wallet whose key ftw.trade holds for your account, to place in projects |
| **Action** | What a strategy or workflow does: a buy, a sell, an order, a bridge. Also a script other scripts call by name |
| **Automation** | What the API calls a TypeScript script |
| **Backtest** | Running a strategy over history against a paper broker |
| **Bar** | One interval of a market: open, high, low, close, volume |
| **Close out** | Unwinding everything a multi-market run holds, and bringing bridged funds home |
| **Dealing** | When a vault's orders fill, at that NAV |
| **Deployment** | One running copy of a strategy (`sd_…`) |
| **Divergence guard** | A live run stopping itself when its replay stops matching what it sent |
| **earn** | Routing an asset to the best rate across protocols |
| **Feed** | A shared price series, free to every account (`feed:<name>`) |
| **Flowscript** | ftw.trade's language for strategies and sources |
| **High-water mark** | The value above which a vault investor pays a performance fee |
| **Husher** | The service that sends funds privately, with no on-chain link |
| **Invariants** | A strategy's risk limits: drawdown, daily loss, trade count |
| **Live** | A project whose trades send real transactions |
| **Main wallet** | Your account's own wallet, for deposits and withdrawals |
| **MCP** | The Model Context Protocol, how AI apps call ftw.trade's tools |
| **Metric** | A value a strategy publishes each bar with `metric(name, value)` |
| **NAV** | Net asset value: what one unit of a vault is worth |
| **na** | Flowscript's "not known yet" |
| **Paper** | Trading with play money at real prices; nothing is sent on chain |
| **Project** | Wallets, what trades them, and their dashboards, as one document |
| **Project wallet** | An account wallet placed in a project, with a label and groups |
| **Series** | What a strategy runs on: `pool:`, `perp:`, `feed:`, `poly:` or `source:` |
| **Signal** | A source's event, as something workflows and scripts react to |
| **Skill** | A guide written for AI agents, served over MCP and as Markdown |
| **Sniper** | A workflow that runs for every new launch matching a filter |
| **Source** | Anything a strategy, workflow or script reads |
| **Stage** | A strategy run as a workflow step until it says it's done |
| **Starter** | A ready strategy to run or change |
| **Vault** | A strategy or project others invest in, with enforced rules |
| **Workflow** | A trigger and steps on a project's wallets |
